The University of Connecticut invites current students enrolled at participating partner universities to apply for the International Research Student Program. Students will live on campus, and will have opportunities to be engaged in the vibrant student life on campus, while developing research skills and gaining global experience.
Accepted students will come to UConn for one-semester and be matched with a hosting faculty member who will provide supervision and mentorship on a research project. The research project can be either independently designed, or students can join an existing research project to gain experience in their academic field. Students will earn 3 credits for the research experience which they may transfer to their home institution, if desired.
Students will be selected for this program based on the availability of faculty mentors who can support the student's research. GTDI will seek a suitable faculty match for interested students across a variety of academic disciplines. Acceptance to the program will ultimately depend on the ability to identify a research placement.
